Im looking to start my own designs.....but I cant draw to save me life.....but i really nice and simple ideas xD

How do you go about doing your own designs?

It all depends on the sort of designs, their size, how serious you're going to get and so on. If it is all or mostly cross stitch, then squared paper and coloured pencils are really all you need to produce a chart, but if you want to save designs, alter them, print them and so on it's best to use a design program. You could try demos of the various design programs or get a freeware one, or pick one up second-hand on eBay (which is what I did). There is a whole thread dedicated to people's reviews of/comments about design programs, so have a look here first.

Whether or not you can draw doesn't have to be a big thing, depending on the sort of designs you have in mind. If they are big landscapes or very detailed characters it might be difficult without some drawing skills, but geometric designs or small simple designs could be "drawn" directly in the program, and then you could tweak it there.

Saw I design that was just toast which was pretty cute ^^ x

I use KG Stitch, which is a free download programme (just google it and it'll come up). It's very simple to use and you get some great results.
