I've finally been able to start my very first Chatelaine. I wanted to do this one in the charted silks and after pricing everything up I decided to buy the kit from ECC as it worked out quite a bit cheaper than sourcing everything myself.
I did pick my own fabric, and ended up with 32count Antique Blue Belfast which is a slightly mottled fabric.

So far three parts have been released and this weekend I made a start on part one, which is rather cross stitch heavy (think that's the case on a lot of the mandalas), I'm not even half way through the cross stitches of part 1, but here is an update all the same
