Blocking and framing

Post by roo_bear »

Hello, this is the first time I have wanted to get one of my projects framed and it needs to be perfect as it is a present for my future mother-in-law. After speaking to my mum who cross-stitched many years ago I need to block my work, she has attempted to explain this over the phone and I have googled it but still don't really understand. I need idiot-proof step-by-step instructions! Either that or does anyone know a place in Coventry that can professionally block and frame my work for me. I will ask in my local sewing shop tomorrow but any help would be greatly appreciated.
