Please post a little something saying what kind of things you like and dislike on this thread - one post per participant - just to help your Stashmas sender out and make sure you don't receive something you hate.

(obviously conversion rates differ daily, but please be sensible about it), so please don't list a load of expensive charts you'd like as you'll be disappointed! That said, the kind/count of fabrics you enjoy using, the colours and makes of floss/silks etc, what kind of styles you enjoy or a few charts or kits (within the price limit) you would like would be very helpful to your sender!

I am a DMC girl at heart but like gentle art sampler threads and simply shaker threads. I really like using variegated threads and would love some more to play with.

I work on all types of fabric and prefer 16 and 18 count aida.

I landscapes of all kinds, birds, flowers, geometric patterns. Not fond of fantasy, unicorns, dragons or the like.

I use the stitchbow system and you can never have enough stitch bows! I am really entralled with scissors right now too

Anything my stashmas sender sends will be loved and appreciated. Thank you in advance

Would love to receive:
fabric: any count above 16 or colour, although dyed would be cool, and I love evenweaves
threads: would love to try Dinky Dyes (oops bag!), any silks, but also love WDW and many others
favourite colours: blues and greens
charts: HAED, realistic tigers, wolves, basset hounds

Dislikes:
cutesy charts, Anchor threads (rather have DMC), DMC metallics, low count aida

but I'll be happy with whatever I receive.

Things I could use more of:

Threads: Lizbeth (20 or larger) or perle(pearl) cotton threads in fun colors (solid or multi-color) for my tatting projects, DMC color variations threads
Cloth: 14, 16, 28, or 32 ct (evenweave, not linen) in hand-dyed, marbled, or sparkly colors.
Patterns/kits: Blackwork designs in Art Nouveau, Japanese or Art Deco styles
Stitchy books: any of the blackwork ones on my amazon wishlist

These aren't actually dislikes so much as I have plenty of these in my stash already and don't need more at this point:

Threads: DMC solids and metallics
Cloth: 14 ct Charles Craft, 28 ct Monaco in white/antique white
Patterns/kits: any standard cross stitch designs

OK I've been giving this some thought so here is my list.

Likes

16 and 18 ct aida in pastels/soft colours or 28 ct even weave.
Threads - silks, over dyes, variegated.

kits (small ones only please) or charts - Christmasy ones especially the Norwegan/Swedish elves; fairies/angels; flowers; scenes with trees/gardens and a pathway; animals especially squirrels/field mice/birds.



Dislikes
stitching with lots of confetti - as in my cat one.
anything fantasy; dragons; insects/snakes etc.
large projects as I have a goodly supply of them.

I will be more than happy with whatever is sent and am generally very easy to please.
