Hi guys!
Just joined today and have to say never been on a forum or chat site or anything, so may need to help me out a tad!
Started cross stitching while I was at school and it has been my life-line while suffering from ME for the majority of my life. Without this, I think I would have gone insane with boredom.
Find it very difficult to put my needle down now and seem constantly addicted! Does anyone else find this?
Put a few piccies on the gallery of some of the work I've done, but haven't come out great as took pics with my phone. Will try to get some better ones soon!
Anyway, gonna marvel at other peoples work now on the gallery!
Nice to meet you all x

Yeahhh my first reply!!!
Thanks for that! Have you got a gallery I could look at? Did you also do that cat on your profile pic? Isn't that called Majesty II or something? Its one I've always fancied doing and looks well impressive!

Yes, yes, and yes
I agree it is a lovely picture - I just had to do it. I am also doing the Vervaco owl to go with it.

Just taken a look at your gallery and you've got some lovely work on there! Very impressive!
Your owl is looking good as well. What are the little grids on the aida? Am I being stupid?

Thank you
The grid is my own doing in large tacking stitches to keep track of where I am - I also draw the grid on a copy of the pattern, also in red, and cross off the 10x10 squares as I go. I did this on the cat also. After the first few stitches I quickly realised that I had to do something as all the colours are so similar. It works for me.

Welcome to the forum had a quick look at your gallery and must say it is very impressive and the picture are fine. I like the horses as it reminds me of growing up. We had many over the years Dad was a cowboy from the top of his hat to the bottom of his boots. One of my brother-in-laws calls him John Wayne.
It is nice that you have found us and we look forward to seeing you around the site. Jump in and don't be afraid as we don't bite but we may nibble.

You are all so kind!!!
Spend 3 months in 'the states' last year, so love hearing from our overseas cousins!!
The horses also reminded me of my time in Texas
Going to check out both of your websites now!!!
