A quick question about fabric size

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere but I couldn't find the answer.

I've just bought a mini HAED chart and it says it will be 9 x 12" on 25 count Linen, but that it can also be done on 18 count Aida. I think I'll find 18ct easier but will this affect the size of fabric I need?

Yes, if you do it on 18ct, it'll end up bigger. The chart should have the stitch count on it and there are quite a few handy calculators around to work out fabric size - here are a couple

Don't forget to allow for finishing - usually 3 inches all round is recommended.

On very rough maths it looks like your design is 225 x 300 stitches, which on 18 ct would work out at 12.5 x 16.75 inches and you'll need a piece of fabric 19 x 23 inches to allow for finishing (with no border)
