Hi guys,
Thought I'd post the latest pic of my new cross stitch project and see what you all thought?
I'm doing this picture for my best friend, who has been through all the good times and bad times with me. We spent 6 months travelling round the world together and were literally joined at the hip. Many friendships would have caved in with spending so much time together, but this has only brought us closer and I think of her as my long lost sister.
We have now been back over a year and I have re-developed my ME. I'm not usually up to having people over and feel guilty that I am neglecting her in some way, so I wanted to do something for her that shows her how much she still means to me.
She has a love for big cats and picked this pattern out herself. Seeing her on Saturday so can't wait to show her how far I have got!

Thanks for the kind comments guys
The only problem with this pattern is there is an awful lot of background, which is EXTREMELY boring and time consuming to do, so need all the encouragement I can get at the moment while doing that section.
...and there's no better place to get it than you guys!

I looked in the gallery first and saw the picture. I was going to ask you if you had a bigger picture of this I was just blown away by its beauty.
I had the same thought with the Indian and Eagle picture I did for my moms quilt so I left parts of the sky out. It took some time to figure out what could be left and what HAD to be stitched but in the end I was happy with the out come.
Keep going I can't wait for the finished piece it is just gorgeous.

Thanks Rose,
That gives me the motivation to carry on! I'll make sure I update when I can and get this horrid background out of the way asap
My next project will definitely be background free

Excellent thinking ... you really should have your laptop next to you as well, or at least, in handy reach, so as to give us all updates between slurps ... i mean STITCHES!

That's just wonderful - I love it. Who is the designer? You may have guessed that I love big cats - well all cats really.

Love the design, the background improves the dramatic effect.
Keep up the good work
