Hey all :) I have a question about stitching bookmarks. I have a design in mind that I would like to make into a bookmark for someone. I have seen the precut bordered stitchable bookmarks at joanns and online but I would like to know, do they make them in 32 count? because I haven't been able to find a count on them online. The design I want is actually rather large but if I stitch it over one on 32 count it comes out to 2"x7". If bookmarks don't come in 32 count, does anyone know how to make a descent sturdy bookmark in 32 count without using one of those precut ones?

Using fusible interfacing when done does help to stiffen it up some. I'm working on figuring out a plan for how I want to join the two sides of my current bookmark together so that the hem isn't thick with folded under edges. :thinks: I'll be looking forward to other people's answers as well.

I've finished a few by just sewing fabric to the back. They didn't end up too thick even with the folded under edges. That way I could use whatever type of fabric I wanted to stitch on.

For my book markers, I used perforated paper, on some I whipped stitched the edges, others I put a decorative lace around the edges. I have one left that I had done a few years ago for a National Guard turkey shoot/craft fair.
Next weekend is my b/d, and youngest finally has my website made up, and she and our 2 oldest daughters are having a luncheon for me and she is going to show me the ropes of the website, and I will hopefully have pics. posted after that.

HAPPY STITCHING IN STITCHING LAND. :applesauce: :D :applesauce: :D
