Hi all,
I'm working on JE's Air Goddess on a Qsnap, and obviously planning to add the beads at the end. But what about the metallics? I feel like there's way too much to stitch in-hand at the end, so I've been doing it as I come to it. I've seen "smashed" stitches plump back up after some time off the frame, but I'm wondering if the same is true for metallics. Has anyone had any trouble with Kreiniks (or other metallics) and Qsnaps?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Q snap / Metallics question
Just had this question from someone using a hoop. Can't remember the thread name.......
But anyway. I have used the metallics with a q-nap and never had any issues. They stand up well to the clips but if you are really concerned a thin piece of cloth could be put over what is under the clip for extra protection.

If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror

Re: Q snap / Metallics question
I've found metallics cope better than regular cotton ... in a hoop and frame. I've never used Q snaps though.

I totally agree with Rose on this, I've used metallics a lot in stitching and haven't experienced any problems at all with them being bothered by qsnaps. I do usually add the extra cloth just to be on the safe side

Re: Q snap / Metallics question
I agree with both Rose and Karen. I've used hoops and q snaps with metallics and not had a problem and usually don't use anything between the fabric and the hoop or q snap, but if you are concerned it wouldn't hurt.

Re: Q snap / Metallics question
I have never used metallic but if you are concerned you can also clamp the q-snap from the back of the fabric and put a thin piece of cloth over the stitches for extra protection.

Re: Q snap / Metallics question
OK, thanks for reassuring me, everyone! I thought they'd probably be fine, but wanted to set my mind at ease.
