I looked at that exact website when I was searching for the Lowry, Sandra, but thanks for the information. I'm sure they provide good service and it is always good to know online providers who are reliable, but the stand I wanted was half that price by ordering from Sew and So in England. Would never have occurred to me to check, but Dana already had. I haven't received it yet, so won't make any recommendations but given all the praise this stand gets, I am hoping to be able to join the bandwagon.

Hello rcperryIs, thank you for your feedback. I called the owner from the Needle in the Haystack. She said it is very difficult to compare prices with Sew and So, she said, it is like comparing apples from oranges. Generally, she does not carry the products in her store, however they are made in the states. Whenever, she places an order the prices vary. One day the price can be very high or the same as the competitor. She also said, her clients usually buy from her because they do not want to deal with custom duty. Also prices vary, depending on if you want stainless steel or the stainless/grey. Freedom of choice, at times can be very difficult, especially when you have so many variables and options to contend with. I'm still having a hard time, deciding whom I should purchase from. With Canada, I cannot evade the custom charges, gst & pst taxes, etc. I'm now looking into a different embroidery stand, so many choices! I think my mind is going to explode, with information overload!
Regards,
Sandra

You have my deepest sympathy with the information overload. :? I've been trying all week to decide which beads and floss to order for my big project, and the pricetag on them is only about $25. I fear that I would be paralyzed by having to make an expensive choice (but that's just me.) Good luck with whatever new stand you decide on. :)
