Working on Floba

I just bought a pattern for a cross-stitched pillow that uses floba as the fabric and six strand of floss. (It's 6 over 2, but the floba weave is broad so that equates to 7-ct aida). Anyone ever worked with floba? Any advice? Thanks!

Not that I know of but I'd love to see pictures ... is it like tapestry canvas?

I have never even heard of floba but would be really interested in seeing your progress on this. I have never stitched with more than 4 strands of thread and that seemed huge to me. Can't imagine 6 strands, but would guess it has a lovely soft texture to it?

It's heavy, almost like burlap, but a little softer. It has a very nice weight to it that most xstitch fabric doesn't have. I don't know if using a hoop would work, though; I might have to resort to frames or Qsnaps.

I've included a pic.[img][/img]

Don't know if it does it justice, though. When I start the project I might start a SAL so you can see how it goes.
