A birth sampler in PDF format?

I am looking for a really nice birth sampler, well two, one for a boy, and one for a girl. I have looked around but not seen many I like that much, I seen plenty of owl birth samplers, I just don't get that. I know some folks adore owls, I've even stitched one. But not as a birth - is it sampler? I dunno.
I am looking for something that allows birth and weight, and isn't too complicated, no HAEDS. I would just go cross eyed at that. Hopefully something that is in Pdf format, so I don't have to pay for postage to NZ, which gets expensive. Plus its instant. I dislike kits, I prefer to cut my threads the length I want, which is absurdly long, and I like the loop method. (I dunno why everyone doesn't use it) I digress.
Have you seen any great PDF birth notice charts out there.
Ps, not expecting any grandkids, just wanting to get started on some, for when I do. Plus I think it be interesting to stitch
Thanks for any suggestions. I have loved a few I've seen here

Hiya,
Normally I'd recommend Sew and So as they have lots of different birth sampler designs (both kits and charts) but I don't think they have any PDF ones.
I just googled "Birth sampler cross stitch chart pdf" and I got a couple of good hits.
http://www.koolerdesign.com/pdfdownloadcharts.aspx
http://www.crossstitchneedleshop.co.uk/ ... email.html
I've never tried either of them so can't guarantee that they are good quality or anything.
They might be a starting point for you though?
EDIT: and it seems that Fizzbw beat me to it!
P.S. Farscape is awesome! We have just started from the beginning again with our DVD boxset.....

Go to this site all of the charts are PDF and they are so reasonable. I have bought many from here. They have a ton of options for Samplers.

Go to the Family section and then the For Kids sub-section there are 17 pages of stuff.

Thank you so much for looking, I've looked all over the place. And just can't hit one I like, look through the Stitch along section and I love everyone of them I see.
I have been buying the magazines via Trademe, and well they don't really do birth announcement or samplers. Lots of other stuff, heaps and heaps of flowers. But birth notices not so much.
I can't believe the two folks who responded to me, in a cross stitch forum, even know who Scorpy is. Thats awesome, I have too many favourite SCI FI shows, but apart from Q, Data, Captain Picard, Seven of 9 (I got a list, I'm pathetic - (tng/voyager) Scorpy would be my favourite. I mix it up, Scorpy Avatar, siggy, ST.

Thank you so much, this is I think what I been looking for. Its great to come here and get advice and help. I have spent so much money buying up stuff, and then having to have it shipped here. PDF is really going to help me reduce costs. Not that I been able to find anything I liked recently. I have book marked that page, as it is 3 am in the morning. and way past my bed time. This site distracts me too much.

Or try
CreativePoppy.com
They have fun, whimsical patterns. And I think the whole site is PDFs, like the one Rose posted. And, don't pass one by just because it isn't technically a birth record/ sampler. You can add text to a lot of charts.. in blank spaces, below, to the side.. there are a lot of options for customizing a chart that isn't necessarily a baby record.

Farscape is my third fav series after BSG and Firefly. Just slightly better than voyager. In the middle of watching all the SG1's and have SG Atlantis season 1 on my Sky+. I'm also in the middle of DS9. I'd love to do a cross stitch of serenity, Battlestar Galactica and the Farscape ship who's name has escaped me momentarily!!! One day ill ask Skitzzzz to do it for me.

Are you looking strictly for a cross stitch pattern or would you also be interested in Blackwork? I have one I designed for my nephew earlier this year that I've been meaning to work on making into a PDF for sale... you can see it
here. If you're interested in it, let me know.. that might just be the push I need to get moving to clean up my file and make it into a PDF.

Thanks everyone I will diffently go poke around those sites now. Needleandfork that is beautiful. I can't do any fancy stitching, just the basics lol. I can't sew at all.
Fizzbw. I love Firefly, it really is one of my favs. One season sucks thou. I can't believe they canceled it. Jayne was one of my fav characters he was just SOOO FUNNY. (movie was good too) Serenity.
And I believe Moira was her name, the Leviathan.

Actually Blackwork has not specialty stitching in it, all it is is backstitching. You can do it on aida but it actually looks best on evenweave. I bet you would just tear through it.

Yup, I was surprised when I did my first bit of blackwork how simple it was, and that just back stitch could make such fancy looking work. I've always admired it and thought it was incredibly difficult, and then flew through the little freebie pattern I tried out. The birth announcement I designed was actually only my 2nd bit of blackwork ever!

Just on the topic of Firefly, they have some Firefly patterns on the website SpriteStitch. Couple of threads linked below:
http://www.spritestitch.com/forum/viewt ... c&start=10
is characters, bookmark size
http://www.spritestitch.com/forum/viewt ... f=5&t=3943
is Serenity, in a large and small pattern.
Sorry to butt in on the sampler thread, but thought you might be interested!
