Colored Cross Stitch Patterns

Hello Everyone,

I love to cross stitch but the colored patterns that the dimension gold company puts out are so much easier to read. I have been looking at other companies but it seems that everyone else makes black and white patterns. Does anyone besides dimensions make colored ones?

Thanks

Vermilion Stitchery does.
The Leisure Arts pattern that Rose gave me is in color.. it was from a magazine. So, perhaps thats a place to look. I don't look at any stitch mags so I don't know if colored charts are normal for magazines or not. And actually.. the coloring is screwing me up!! Its a strawberry vine pattern. The leaves are 3 shades of green. Well.. the symbol for the light thread is actually the darker green on the key. And the dark thread is the light green on the key. Its a bit confusing.. and I check, check, and double check that I am using the right shade.

I prefer a black and white chart.. I think colors can make symbols hard to read and it doesn't copy well (I make a working copy of patterns that I can mark up, and cross off.. keeps the original pattern nice and clean- should I give it away when done, or stitch again and need to refer to another time)

I too, prefer black & white charts because I do what Maggie does. I have followed colour charts and made working copies of them to mark up with a highlighter as I go along but it's not as clear as b&w charts.

It's definitely a preference thing... When I first started stitching all I used to do was Dimensions..So the color charts were ok... now that I've branched out, I prefer black and white ones.. it's easier to track my progress with a highlighter

I used to buy magazines, especially the Christmas ones, but now I just buy books/leaflets, 10 page, at my hobby store.
I have books with more than 10 pages, and I just make a b/w copy and use book as a guide for the color symbols.
All my books/leaflets have several charts on each page, and they list all the symbols in book, and I just look for the pattern chart I want, and pick the threads out.
