Pumpkins

Post by Rose »

So my neighbor is a kook but I love her. She loves to collect pumpkins she is more crazy about pumpkins then I am about :snowman: Hard to believe I know but it is true. So she saw some fabric pumpkins on esty and really loved them but they were $36 a piece plus shipping. She asked me if she brought the pictures over if I thought I could help her make some on her own.

Well I would see what I could do and so it began we looked for patterns on the web and there are loads of them. Super easy to do and they are so cool looking. She then went on a shopping spree and bought a ton of material and stuffing and leaves and all sorts of stuff to work with. Today she took her baby over to her mother-in-laws and then we spent the dayin my sewing room and here is what we came out with.

First her group of 3 then my first group of 3 and then my second group of 3

And then these are all of mine individual

Oh Rose those are priceless. I can't stop giggling.

I mean I love pumpkin roasted, soup and yummy scones but I never thought of making fabric ones.

Great work from you both and a heartfelt thanks for the fit of the giggles. I needed that.

These are so adorable and they could have a multiple of uses if you done different sized ones! mini ones for needle holders, medium ones for paper weights and large ones for door stops!!.. oh im going to have to give this a try! :)

Another way to make cute pumpkins...take dryer hose (stuff from dryer to vent....metal circles. Come in silver/white casings i think). Paint orange, make circle, put toliet paper roll in center for stem and fake leaves/vines out of that
They end up quite cute :)

I put a couple of group pictures in my post in the General section but if you want to see each of the individual ones I will add the link to the folder over on Photobuckets.
