Hi, y'all! I joined this forum searching for a particular pattern, or one that can replace it. I've been doing counted cross stitch for about 30 years or so, and regular printed embroidery longer than that! I enjoy crafting, but tend to have more than one project going at a time.....bet I'm not the only one to do that!

Back in the mid-90's, I made a Confirmation remembrance for a friend. I don't remember who the pattern was by, but I remember that it was embellished with Mill Hill beads and Krenik metallic thread. I am now a sponsor for a lovely young lady in our church, and would like to make her the same thing. Unfortunately, we've moved several times since then, and I can't find the chart. I would like to find the chart or one similar. It was very lush and rich in color - lots of jewel tones, which were enhanced by the beads and metallic threads.

I'll post pix as I do it - don't need it until May, so it won't be until after the first of the year (probably).

Hello and welcome!

You're right, many of us have lots of projects on the go at the same time.

This is a great community, as you've already experienced first hand. Can't wait to see what you're working on!

Thanks to everyone who has welcomed me to the group - very nice! Right now I'm working on crocheting for Christmas, as well as a felt/sequin stocking. My cross-stitch projects have taken a back seat for a while, but after the holidays I'll pick them back up again. One of my long term cross stitch projects is an Eagle Scout emblem - 3 of our 4 sons are Eagle Scouts, and the 4th one is on his way.

We do have a section on All Other Crafts where you can post pictures of other crafts that you are working on. Many members also crochet, knit, needlepoint (tapestry across the pond) and we had someone who spun their yarn also.
Feel free to use this forum to show us your other talents.
