Great start!

Are you making this for a specific couple? I only ask because on a related note, my wife made this one for my brother and his bride (they got married in Sept). It turned out beautifully, and my brother said it was the most personal and thoughtful gift they had received.

I am selfishly making it for me & my husband.
I very rarely part with projects I make. Only a select few family members have gotten my work. It has to be someone who really appreciates & treasures the piece.

I think it's a great gift to you and your husband, and not at all selfish.
And what a great start you have made on it. Looking forward to more updates on this.

Oh I agree, not selfish at ALL! Brilliant start.
I have this one in my stash as well, so will watch with interest. I don't always get on with these charts so it will be very good to see it "in real life"

I figured, we were just married 15 years, so a good time to put it in stitch
Niki,
I will keep posting pic's, so you can see what it looks like in "real life"

I'll echo the sentiment that it's not selfish at all. Very cool way to celebrate your love and marriage. Looking forward to seeing your progress!

I did this one about a year ago for my #2 granddaughter. It is a very pretty piece. One of the things I found interesting about it was several of the men who looked at it, seemed most impressed that the stitching really looks like handwriting. Enjoy it.

What I found unique was the different amount of threads to use. For example on the letters in Love, you only use 1 strand, seems kinda light, but I'm assuming its to give it depth.
What do you think?

Hello and welcome!
I have this in my stash, I've actually stitched maybe ten stitches and put it aside before my September wedding. Now I want to buy another and change the colors for my wife's niece who is getting married in April.
I really will finish mine at some point!

Bella, it's looking great. Your stitching is really lovely. Keep up the good work and keep posting. I've been wanting to do a marriage project for my son and daughter-in-law but have never found one I really liked, that I also thought they would like. This one is a real possibility, especially if I change out the colors to match either their decor or their wedding colors. They been married almost 8 1/2 years...maybe I could get it done for their 10th anniversary.
