Using my iPad for stitching?

I got an iPad a while ago for my studies. However, since I have finished studying it is just lying around the house.
I was thinking of using it for stitching.
Could any recommend some good apps that I could use to load my charts on if they are PDF format.

I use my iPad for 100% of my stitching now - even scanning in magazine charts so I can stitch them from it! I use the GoodNotes app, you can enlarge and mark off your charts to your hearts content in several different colours

!
Forgot to add - as I use Dropbox to backup all my PDF charts, I use their app to import my files into GoodNotes - can't be doing with faffing about with iTunes!

I use my iPad for stitching also, though mostly for enlarging charts. I mostly still print charts out so its a combination of sorts. I also use the GoodNotes app. I save my charts to my Gmail account which is an extra backup (I have an external hard drive which backs up my files as well as an online service - mostly to ensure that my photos are safe) and import my files to GoodNotes from there. (I also use my iPad for games

- right now hooked on Candy Crush and several word games as well)

Now that sounds like a great present. Was the clamp from Sew and So?

No I think it was from Amazon Carole....it is a microphone stand clamp for an iPad. Here is a couple of pics so you can see what I mean.

from the front.

and the back.
As you can see I have attached it to the magnetic board holder, it swivels and the actual clamps are adjustable for both height and depth so it can be used for an iPad in a variety of different cases or without whichever you use! I love it. There are many different designs of these but this one works well for me and only takes a minute to change between the iPad or the magnetic board. I do still use paper charts too as I don't have a scanner, plus I have to share the iPad with everyone else in my family so it's nice to go old school again sometimes

thanks for the pics. I will have to check that out. right now I have charts on the magnetic boards that are in their own stands. Sometimes 3 at a time and it can bet cumbersome, especially if you are trying to maneuver with a cat in your lap too!

I have only used my ipad for smaller charts, but it was great. I, too, use the Goodnotes app.

I use GoodReader, but it's the same deal. I find it particularly useful with big charts, like Tanglewood. It's the facilities for enlarging and marking off that I find most useful.
