Hello all-

A query and a Problem:

I am working on a Dimensions project and it lists Opel colour ribbon in the stitch list.

1. I cannot find the ribbon - what can I use for a suitable replacement? Would some halographic thread from my stash work?
What else may I substitute it with?

2. What am I supposed to do with the ribbon? The instructions are very clear on everything in the kit except for this (naturally!).
Am I really supposed to do a standard cross stitch with it?

Do you have a picture of the pattern? If you're not in a hurry, you can request more ribbon from Dimensions, free of charge. They are good about that.
I have two Dimensions kits with specialty ribbon but haven't gotten to that part yet. In one kit, it call for blending the ribbon( or maybe it's called filament) with one strand of regular floss. In another kit, it calls for the gold fancy thread to be couched....which I'm not good at
As for replacements, I'm not experienced enough with specialty threads to help you out there, sorry!
