I have been wanting to purchase a scroll frame and I have been looking around online. I have found one, and was wondering if anyone has used it and what they think of it.

I have one like this but it's called 'The Doodler'. It would be a great lap frame as I like how I can just flip it over to finish off my threads on the back, but I sit on our couch to stitch (because it reclines too) :D . And our couch has the flip down table with cup holders in the middle that we use all of the time and the frame is too wide with my longer rods on it to fit between the flip down table and the big fluffy arm of the couch. It has to sit at an angle, and that's not real comfortable for me. I've not used it with the shorter rods yet, because I don't have a project that small going....yet. But it is solid and I am keeping it because, well, for one- it's a frame (I can't bear to part with frames-it's a stitching hoarding thing) and two, we will be moving and I don't know what my stitching set up will be, so it might be perfect where I sit then.
So, in short, it's a great frame, just be sure to measure the width of your chair/stitching spot to make sure it will fit.

It's a nice frame. I don't have one, but I looked at one in my LNS a few months ago. It doesn't work for me because I can't adjust the angle. When I stitch, I sit in a recliner with my feet kicked up; and with the frame I use, I can adjust it so it holds the fabric close to vertical -- which is comfortable for me when I'm half-way reclined like that. I also don't like that I have to turn the whole thing over to get to the back to anchor threads. With the stand I use, I can rotate the frame but keep the stand legs stationary. That works better for me. I rarely do anything that requires scroll rods shorter than 30 inches, if that factors in at all.

It's a nice frame. It doesn't work for me, but you'll have to evaluate it according to how you stitch.

Just so you can envision what I'm doing, this is the stand I use; but I use the scroll rods with the basting web:

A lady in my stitchy group had one but got rid of it - she said it was too hard to do up tight. It may just have been an arthritis thing though.
