Crossstitchforum - A FREE forum for Cross Stitchers

Hello everyone. I'm a 42 year old from South Louisiana. I have been cross stitching since I was about 13 or so when my mom bought me a little kit of a Canadian goose. I was hooked but really didn't get into it until I was about 20 years old. Since then it has been off and on, because of working, raising a child, raising a husband (LOL). But now I am a stay at home housewife, (son is out on his own and fixing to move to Florida) . And now I can say I have finally got time to actually stitch. I have collected stash over the years but not liking anything I have collected. I guess has you get older your interest change. I have bought a couple of HAED designs and I am looking into getting some Mirabilia designs. And I have to say everything I have cross stitched I have NEVER cross stitched something for myself. It was always things to give as gifts. Well now it's time for me. Anyway wanted to say hello.

Hi Kim! Welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I'm so glad that you have found us and will be having time to stitch as well. I think many of us have found that patterns we bought years ago are no longer interesting to us. Sounds like you have some challenges ahead with HAED and Mirabilia designs to be working on. I hope you will post pictures for us to see as you make progress. We love pictures and we love to encourage and cheer each other on. Looking forward to getting to know you!
