Hello everyone, my name is frankie.
I'm new to this so don't really know what to do.
I started doing cross stitch last year and I don't no what got me into it. I think it is because my mum does knitting and she tried to show me but I could not do it, so I look at doing cross stitch and now I can not stop.
At the moment I don't have any friend that cross stitch, I'm 19 year old and my "friend" just same I'm getting old before my time. So I'm really trying to found cross stitch friend. To chat to show each what we are working on and maybe do a stitch along together
Hugs and kisses
Frankie xxx

Hi Frankie and Welcome to the forum. Good on you for finding something other than knitting to give your creative side an outlet.
I hope you will show some photos of your work too.

Welcome Frankie!
And don't worry about them not being finished. Some of us have been stitching for years and have only managed a few finishes

A big welcome from the West of Scotland!

We have a few young (well, young compared to me!) folk kicking around and their stories are exactly the same as yours! You are not alone! Glad you found this friendly place (complete with pub -- the Stash & Grab -- and a hospital and our own treehouse). There's a lot going on in the stitching world -- you might find
Mr X Stitch interesting, fun or alarming in turns. Tell him we sent you!

Hello and welcome from South Carolina! I'm so glad that you found us. A lot of us were alone in our stitching until we found this wonderful forum. I also hope that you will post pictures of your work.
This thread will explain how to do it. We love to watch projects from beginning to end, so don't worry about finishing. That will come. Looking forward to getting to know you.
Carole

Hello from Colorado. As others said, please don't wait until your WIP is a finish before posting. For me (and probably for the others), seeing it progress is as much fun as seeing the finished product.

Hi Frankie, welcome to the forum.
Don't take any notice of people who say 'you're getting old before your time' - that's just rubbish! At least you've got a hobby that you love doing - that's what's important.
Hope to see pictures of what you are stitching, soon.
