I have a big problem... See I live in Dubai and every pattern that I use comes with DMC thread numbers. However in Dubai I can only find Madeira Mouline floss. Now I know there are charts online to convert it from DMC to Madeira but every chart is completely different. :tantrum: I really dont know what to do!! Can anyone help???

 Hello and welcome to the forum.

I found a link to a conversion table for you---and hope that it will be of usefulness to you.

 Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I hope that the conversion chart Karen found works for you. It is so frustrating when the material you need is not available and sometimes ordering online can be so costly if it is not a seller in your own country. What types of projects do you like to stitch?

I tend to like to stitch anything with landscapes or abstract work. And I like more complicated detailed work with mixing 2 different colored strands and things like that. The main problem is I am very picky and I simply can not settle with a color that is similar to what the instructions say I should use....

I completely hear you about not wanting to substitute. I don't like to make substitutions in materials either... unless *I* decide to change something on purpose! :) Maybe it's possible to mail order the correct DMC colors from an online store? Or maybe someone here could help, depending on how many colors you need. :)

I can't get a full range of DMC either so I order online ...1-2-3 Stitch is a good site with a full range. I usually wait until I have a pretty big order to make the most of shipping costs.
