Hello from Colombia!!!
I want to do my first HAED but I'm a little afraid with the size of it, so I'm thinking on tent stitch, what type and count of fabric do you think is the best? I Want to use 2 strands of fabric.
Big hugs and happy stitching,
Diana

I'm getting ready to start my next project (well, next month, when I have some pocket money to buy the materials), which will be a 23 yo portrait of my wife from when we were on honeymoon:

The image will be tent stitched on 28ct black evenweave if I can get it, or linen if I can't. The reason for the choice - the last image was on linen and I would have preferred not to have areas of slub (where threads are thicker than others because they've been joined).
Regards,
Richard.

I have done tent stitching on 25 and 28 ct fabric and much prefer the coverage on 28 ct. using 2 strands of thread. A lot depends on how tight your stitch is. The coverage on the 25 ct was good but not great (in my opinion) so I moved to 28 ct and love it. I do use Anchor black instead of DMC because it is slightly thicker, but other than that I have been very pleased with 28 ct. Looking forward to seeing what you are planning on stitching.

Ive like tenting on 28,32, and 36 ct (and 48ct with one strand) some have done it on 25ct but I personally dont like the coverage. my favourite 2 strand tent is on 32ct.
