I am working on the 2000 PS Santa and need some help with the DMC colors used. My card was damaged and I can't see the numbers and part of the pattern. From other years that I have done, I know I've used 221, 356, 407, 501, and 844. I thought this used a brown and another green. If anyone can help me with these colors I would greatly appreciate it.

I have that pattern, hope this helps!

It also uses 500 (four small dot/square symbol), 676 (small h symbol) & Ecru (single dot/square) as well as (single strand for both) the words and light rays for candle.

 Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I hope that you got the information you need. One of the best things about this forum is that someone always knows the answer or has a good idea of where to go to find the answer. Hope you will stay with us and show us your project. We love pictures!

Thank you so much for your help. My goal is to make as many of the years that I am missing that I can find so I may be calling on your help again. I already have some in a frames but not sure what to do with the others that I have done.

Maybe you could make them into a quilt-like wall hanging. I hope you'll stick around and share pictures of your work.

I love the Prairie Schooler Santa's and have every year since, I think, the beginning (1984). My mother got me started and I've looked forward to the new pattern every summer for many years now. I've done two (self & sister) a bell pull with some of mine. When my husband's grandmother was moved out of her apartment I received some of her fabric stash, a long piece with a grid design already in it. A bit like an afghan with all the squares. Now that my daughter is graduating from college and moving off on her own I will be making another for her, she was rather jealous of the one I did for my sister :D .

I do like these. Not normally the sort of thing I do like, but very nice.
The wall hanging display method complements the style very nicely. It's a good job, done well. Congratulations.

Regards,

Richard

This looks like a great forum to belong to. I like the bell pulls but I would have had to plan ahead for those. :-) I may have to redo some of my favorites that way.
I like the idea of a quilt-like wall hanging since mine are all individual pieces right now. Thanks everyone for your help.
