Cramming in more every day

Post by richardandtracy »

I wonder if anyone could help me.

I need to find some way of cramming 72 hrs work into every 24.
Does anyone know the trick?

At present I need to dig a hole in the garden for a conservatory to be built there, cast some pen finials & finish the 32 I'm part way through, convert a drill press from 3 phase to single phase electricity, strip out, insulate & dry line our downstairs toilet, do maintenance on the house, take down & replace the guttering & facia boards, finish dry lining a granary, make some pens with my cnc machine tool, re-roof the garage, mow the garden paths every 2 weeks (takes 3 hours), do work on our van, make some pen clips from precious metal clay. Oh, and find some time to sleep, eat, work and do some stitching.
It's making me tired just thinking of the list, and there is a fair bit to add to it too.

Regards,

Richard.

The trick is to take everything in turn and live to 180.

:faint: Seriously? Pity you can't put those cats to work earning their keep. :thinks: Any handy Scout troops needing to complete badges? Or Duke of Edinburgh types needing to learn a new skill for their Bronze Award? Of course, the nuclear option is hiring someone to do part of it... 8)

Would hire someone to do the work if we could afford it. Our real problem is that, if we didn't do a lot of stuff ourselves, we'd be living well beyond our means and could never contemplate living where we are.

We are much the same. The only way around this is make a list, check it twice and hove to, I guess. As the good weather (at least, I hope you are getting good weather in Kent -- we have N.O.N.E.) lengthens, the outdoor work should be straightforward?

Richard, if I had the trick I would surely let you know. Maybe we can create our clones, they can do all the work and make all the money, we can spend all the money on stash and become enablers of everyone else here.

Oh what a nice thought. But I'm sure our clones would end up with similarly diverse interests and end up just as busy.
