Stained Glass

I have done stained glass for many years but life has gotten in the way and I haven't done anything in several years. Now that I am settled into my new house (after almost 2 years LOL) I finally got my "studio" up and running again. Starting on a small project to get my feet wet again as it were. I have cut the glass, now it needs to be ground down and refined, then foiled and soldered together. Attached is the last project I did several years ago. My largest ever at 18 inches wide.

Oh wow. That's gorgeous.
Yet another skill I want to have & don't.
It really is very impressive. We're having a new conservatory sometime next month & I would rather like to put some stained glass & lithophanes into it at some time. Just so much to do & so little time to do it in.
Regards,
Richard.

I love the look of stained glass, it's so dramatic. Your tulip design is gorgeous!

All the pieces have been ground down to size. Now they are getting a bath and then I put the copper foil on all the pieces to get them ready to solder together.

That is so amazing! and beautiful! I know you said you were going to start smaller than your largest piece (18"). I don't know how to guesstimate and was wondering what the size of this one is.

It is looking really beautiful and you are making really good progress with it. Well Done, it is lovely to see the ancient arts still being practised .

This is lovely! I used to do stained glass and really enjoyed it. I got out of it because I'm so hot-natured and what was perfect for the glass made me sweat, lol.
