fccs's Tinkerbell 28 May 2016

I'm going to stitch Tinkerbell as a college graduation gift for my friend's daughter. I've known Katrina her entire life and she has loved Tinkerbell for most of it. It's not a typical college grad gift, but I think she'll like it.
I started it a couple months ago, barely, but REALLY started it on 11 January. Here's where I am as of Saturday, the 23rd (when I lost contact with ForumLand and became an island

). The colors are a little off - the fabric is actually a beautiful mint green (32 count Lugana). The kit came with 14 count sea foam green Aida, but I had this Lugana and thought it would be perfect for Tinkerbell.

That will be well received! Good idea to change the fabric to one you like to use...it will also intensify the pattern.

That is just beautiful & I am sure the person receiving it will be really very pleased with your thoughtfulness & effort of stitching a wonderful piece.

That's nice but...
I do hope Tinkerbell is a current interest that she's prepared to admit to in public. I know my eldest daughter is interested in 'Thomas the Tank Engine', despite the fact that she's now a first year at university, but I don't think she'd want to admit to it outside the family.
Regards,
Richard.

This is such a fun piece. I've seen this kit on my trips to Disney World. I own a number of the kits you can get at the parks, but I haven't acquired this one...yet.
It will be fun watching this piece come to life.

Everyone (family and friends) knows she loves Tinkerbell - she's not a closet fan - so I'm totally comfortable with my choice of gift for her.

Now if I can just as comfortable in thinking I'll have it done in time......

This is where I was as of last night. Today is a snowy, stay inside kind of day, so my goal is to finish the first page (there's not much left) and do more of Tink's body. You can see part of her face and her hair, including her little blonde bun.

Great progress! And a grand way to forget the weather outside! Pretty soon, Tink will be watching you stitch so maybe you can get some fairy dust to help you "fly" through the stitching. (Sorry, bad sort of pun

). Looking forward to the next update!

A quite agree about the fairy dust, it will surely help you fly through the remainder of the beautifully stitched project.
Enjoy the snow Debby, I am very damp and floppy this morning - its about 9.15am and already 33c with humidity in the 78% range.

(except it is too hot to even do that)

That's a sweet update on your Tink. I can't wait to see more of her appear. Hope you get a lot of stitching done while the snow keeps you in.

Today is another snow day...I had two appointments today and both were canceled. I didn't get as much done yesterday as I hoped, but I'm about to pick Tink up again, and finish my binge watching of Longmire on Netflix.
