Hello all :D
I'm a newby here, as I just found this forum and I'm completely overwhelmed with the huge amount of beautiful stitching
Although I have a lot to learn (I just picked up cross stitching ) I would like to share with you my little project : a 2 over 1, cross stitched on 25 count lugana with dmc thread bookmark. Most of the stitching is done with cotton but there are a few spots where I used metallic dmc (it was absolutely terrible to work with but it looks lovely :) )

I also wanted to share with you my little floss collection :D

And here is my first completed piece (the entire background was grey at the end )

I love the bird cross stitch! So cute. You have a lot of patience to do the entire background in gray. It would drive me nuts. I'd probably do it though, I'm a glutton for punishment.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Your bird and butterflies are lovely (that's a lot of grey background - did you get bored with it?). I hope you'll stick around and continue to share with us. This is a pretty friendly group. :-)

Welcome from the West of Scotland! Such a sweet little bird, and a lovely bookmark. Am intrigued by the reels on which you store your thread -- great idea if you can find them. Of course we are, as a group, terrible enablers, so you might want to source more reels pretty soon...

I've always loved bookmarks. Yours are superb...I imagine that the bird will become a bookmark too. :D

I like your little thread reels, they look so pretty stacked up like that. :applesauce:

 Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! Love your bird and your butterflies! I've never seen thread stored on reels like that and think it is a lovely way to keep them. Do you store them in a box of some kind?
