Hello from California
I am another male stitcher, from California. Maybe this will become a trend!
I've been stitching off and on for about 35 years. My Grandmother gave me a needle and fabric to keep me from getting bored while I stayed with her. When I got married my mother-in-law, who loves cross stitch but can't do it any more because her hands, taught me a lot of tricks and such. I find cross stitch relaxing and enjoyable and it keeps me sane after dealing with those crazy people at work. Both of my children are stitchers on occasion and believe it or not Rosie Greer kept me from leaving the stitching world when I was young (If you don't know who Rosie Greer is, look up the movie "The Man with 2 heads"). I live in the mountains above Los Angeles and I am in the printing industry. I also like seeking for cool cross stitch designs of all flavors and writing about those in the cross stitching world.

Re: Hello from California
Hello, Tim, welcome to the forum.
You will see that this is a wonderful place to meet all kinds of stitchers from all kinds of places. We talk a lot about stitching, but about everything else, too.
Can you show us your work? Please, set up your own gallery, and also, join the SAL section if you have anything on the go right now.
One more thing? Do you like

Hello Tim, another California resident here. (not native though) My brother lives down in your general area. He is in Pamona.
This is a great place to pick up and to share tips and hints. We have a thread for internet sites that may help you find new and interesting patterns.
As the girls have said please share some of your work and join in the SAL section we love watching projects grow.

Hi and welcome from SPain. Looking forward to seeing what you have stitched and what you are stitching now, I have said on many occasions that this forum should come with a public health warning because it is addictive. In the forums defence thought I should add that it is extremely friendly and helpful.

Re: Hello from California
I joined a online financial forum and they had an auto user name generator which puts 2 words together. The answer to the question is, a hubcap skater does nothing, which I have been accused of at work. Thats another story.Serinde wrote:...Am I the only one who hasn't a clue what a hubcap skater does? stitch on!
