Going straight to the designer

I've got plenty of things to be getting on with at the moment, but looking for some deep hoops on the RSN website I also came across a goldwork kit by Helen Stevens, and fell in love with it. I havered a bit though, as it was quite expensive. But knowing what fees and overheads can do to prices when you sell via somebody else's shop, I thought I'd see if she had her own website.

She does, and it had the goldwork design on it, but it looked slightly different from the one on the RSN website; I rang them, spoke to her husband and them emailed, and she said yes shedoes both versions and I could buy it direct from her - and would you believe it that came out more than £22 (!!!!!!!) cheaper than buying it through the RSN

Now what shall I do with the £22 I've saved :-) ?

Well, that's a win! And I'm sure something will come up that's needed in the great Mabel Figworthy stitching and designing stash. Or put it towards another workshop... :P

Just goes to show that going to the 'Source' is often the best plan! The Big Outlets do have a mark up on goods...but that one did sound a bit excessive!!

:whoop: :whoop:

Hold onto that cash until you find something you "Really Need"

I am totally sure you will find good use for the money saved Mabel. I too have found it much cheaper and quicker to go to the designer for anything in the stitching world.

Hurrah for you going to the designer. So glad you have money left over for more goodies.
