mobile case for iphone 8?

Post by agi »

I got an Iphone a few years ago because I got tempted by the possibility to stitch my own design on those silicon cases. Since then I had two phones and both had a stitched case. Now I got a new one, an Iphone 8 and I cannot find a case with the holes.

Please, help me, does anyone know where I could buy one? :D

The only thing I've found online so far is here, but it's out of Hong Kong. It is, however, on sale! May take a while to arrive. I'll continue looking.

Good to see you, btw. Hope all is well in Sweden!

Thank you, Serinde! I ordered it. You are super! (Of course, if I knew that the 8 was the same size as the 6 it would have been easier but I never thought to check.)

Things are all right in Sweden. Not perfect, though. I have been struggling with depression again in the last few months. Trying to use embroidery to fight it :)

This is what I wrote about this piece:
"Small pieces of cloth, remnants from the past. Some of them died with plants, some are precious memories... all woven together into something new and then made strong and beautiful by hundreds of small stitches. A symbol of life perhaps.

To help me get things out that need to get out. Thoughts and feelings, fear and pain. And happiness, too."

(Can you see the picture? I had problem posting pictures before.)

I wasn't able to see the photo, but your description was beautiful! Remember we are always here and because we are all over the world (wonder how many time zones we do cover?) someone is usually around.

Thank you

I edited and put in a link to the picture instead. Perhaps that works better.
Ever since I lost the use of Photobucket I am struggling with posting pictures. :(

Also tried Tinypic - did it work? The problem is, when I tried to post the picture first, I can see it but no one else. That's why I am asking all the time if you can see it. Sorry for the trouble. :)

I can see it! It's beautiful; what symbolism! I am always so impressed by the way your spirit finds a creative work-around. A real source of inspiration, to me anyway.

Here's something that might cause you to laugh: my Elder Boy attended a wedding today of a friend who is also part of the historical reenactment scene. The friend is from... Hungary! He confessed to DH (who commented that he understood that Hungarian was one of the hardest languages to learn) that he did rather better in his English exams at school than Hungarian, the written language component of which he nearly failed. 8) Given your gift with languages...! :king:

You know I used to teach Hungarian? The written part of the exam is not difficult because the language is difficult. Only because we have a stupid school system focusing on memorising tons of tehoretical knowledge. :D

And thank you for your kind words about my little project. I am planning to make more similar little pieces, patched together by hand sewing, and use them for any outbursts that might want to appear :D But first, I need to start planning my self portrait for the art quilt club.   And finish my cardigan I am knitting. And those little kids' dresses I started sewing. And those quilts that are almost done. And... I am full of WIPs and UFOs, some new ideas, too but not enough time and energy.

Just saw Glasgow in a film and was thinking of you.

Your embroidery project is beautiful and oh so poignant. I've never suffered from depression, but I have a friend who does and it hurts my heart. On the outside she's bubbly and full of life. On the inside, there's a darkness. But she's getting better and stronger.
