Not possible.
Simply not possible.
You can only have Stable (STAsh Beyond Life Expectancy), and that should only be a problem if it exceeds 10 (ie you'll need 10 lifetimes to use it). When it gets to that number, obviously you need to do something about radically growing the 'Life Expectancy' bit of 'Stable', not reducing the stash bit.

Regards,

Richard.

Holy Toledo, Mabel! Although I do favour Richard's alternative generally speaking. What about doing workshops, expanding and augmenting your teaching? (Are you familiar with, eg, Higham Hall and their programme? I'd spend a week learning almost anything from Mabel Figworthy...!

Hmm.
That is a lot. But still think you should stick around to use it all.

Richard.

Definitely looking into that for when Mr Figworthy retires and we sell the main business - no, I'd not heard of Higham Hall, but it looks interesting!

In defence of my collection of threads I must say that quite a few of the brands mentioned are represented by a small sample only - I do NOT by any stretch have the entire collection of Treenway, Gentle Arts or Weeks Dye Works, to name but a few :-) (I haven't even got the entire DMC collection...)

Look at it this way. Those threads don't have a "use-by" date so Don't Panic!!

Knowing the amount of stitching you do and the classes you run it makes perfect sense to have all that stash on hand Mabel. As for having "all of DMC" I don't think that is possible as they always seem to be bringing out new sets of colours.

I can add to what Sally said about DMC. I have been stitching in them since 2004, have stitched more than 100 full-size tablecloths alone, not to mention other projects, yet there are quite a few numbers of cotton DMC which I have never needed. So not having them all is no problem.

Mabel I agree with Richard, it is not possible to have too much stash to a factor of 10 ( thanks for that Richard I feel much better about mine now :) ) and these are only your threads aren't they Mabel? you aren't counting fabric and charts too? surely not :faint: With all you wonderful imagination all your threads will be put to use in the most wonderful of ways.

Lyudmila - more than 100 full sized tablecloths :faint: I am humbled, the sheer amount of stitching you do is remarkable.

That is a lot of tablecloths to stitch Lyudmila and I know they are all beautiful.

I agree, you therefore simply must live forever to use it all.

One of my very favorite lines from Ever After comes to mind:
"I will... simply deny you the crown and live... FOREVER!" I unfortunately cannot find just a clip of that scene.
