All done and home safe

Post by wendywombat »

Just arrived home after completing sale of house in France.
It was a very busy and at times difficult process but ITS DONE!
Now back in Scotland to self isolate. So good to be here at last and just in time before the whole country gets more travel restrictions.
We drove all the way from SW France to Scotland in 2 days under tight restrictions stopping only for comfort breaks well masked. The ferry was the most worrying but the company was also very well aware of managing the passengers safety.
Exhausted today....but it's done. :whoop: :whoop:

Yay Wendy, welcome home and welcome back

I was wondering about you and hoping you hadn't got caught up in the latest travel restrictions.

Hopefully you can now put your feet up and relax and recuperate after that mammoth drive, and enjoy this very different Christmas time 🎄.

:whoop:  Very nearly sent you a pm, so sure was I that you MUST be home by now! Glad it's all done and dusted, and you've squeaked in under the wire. At least the isolation period is only 10 days now, I think, for some reason. (It's the small things...)

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop: So glad you got home safely before the new restrictions. Isolating will make sure y'all get the rest you most surly need. Fortunately takes no extra energy to go to the S&G. See you there!

I have brought back some goodies from France to share.
Little macaroons, pain au raisins, tiny mousse au chocolate, a selection of petite fours and of course Champagne!
It's so good to be back in our new home.
Very busy 10 days clearing and cleaning the house...and packing! So many boxes.
We had to leave some stuff with a friend for later in the year.
So now, let's party! :whoop:
:balloons: :toast: :mexicanwave:

 Edit .....
This should have been in the S&G box! :tizzy:
I must be still spinning after the journey!

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop: A HUGE sigh of relief that you are now permanently home in Scotland and all is finished over the water. So delighted for you both to have got through it. Now relax and enjoy your goodies. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

I cannot believe how lucky we were to get back into the UK on Sunday. Now we have to stay put but it's such a relief to have all the house sale business behind us that we really don't mind.
Thank you everyone for your messages.

Glad to see it all went reasonably smoothly. Must be a relief to have it all completed.

Regards,

Richard.
