I’m back

I took a little vacation to California last week. I spent a day at Disneyland and the rest of the time I just hung out with my friends. It was fabulous. I took a small WIP with me and never touched it. In fact, when I finally picked it up this morning, I realized I really do not like it, so it’s history. :D

Glad you had a good holiday.

It's never worth spending time on something that doesn't totally enthuse you, so the decision to never start the stitching must have been fairly easy.

Regards,

Richard

Welcome back! I love Disneyland and Disney World (closer to home)! Hard to just spend one day but spending time with friends is even better.
I almost always take a WIP and almost always don't lift one needle. Sounds like a good vacation!

Glad you had a good time.
I have been taking on hols for more years than I care to remember one small project that has never seen the light of day. I now take it to the village craft club and I still haven't done much - too busy chatting

I usually get at least some stitching done, usually at night when everyone else has gone to bed, but this time by the time they went to bed, I was ready as well.

Richard, you're right. And I'm getting much better at realizing even though I loved something when I bought it, my tastes have changed and I have to let it go. :-)

Carole, I've been to Disney World once (one two day visit) and to Disneyland hundreds of times. This time it was a visit much like I used to do when I lived about 10 minutes away. I only went on one ride and the rest of the time I walked around, ate (of course I had to have the corn dog!), and people watched. I thought about going on more rides but the ones I wanted most were either closed or the queues were in the sun and it was hot. Despite that, my Disney day was perfect.

Glad you had such a nice time!

I go on holiday partly in order to stitch and weave! Never seem to find enough time at home... But regarding the discarded design: good on ya. No time for stuff that doesn't grab you.
