Thank you all for your felicitations.

Had a very quiet birthday. It's the first day of my Christmas leave and everyone else in the household was out today. It meant I was at the beck and call of the cats every time they wanted something. Exhausting!

Hmm. They were under, what I regard as a misunderstanding. They thought I was the hot water bottle, and that they were the ones getting the bed... Net result, I had almost nowhere to lie down without a feline infestation appearing in minutes.
