The 'fljotsdale' dragon

It's really a bit soon to start this thread, because I shan't begin the project until sometime early in the new year, but I felt so pleased when I spread the stuff out that I wanted to show you a pic:
Only half the threads are there, because there are 2 of each and I only put one of each out, and they are only placed on the fabric, not displayed in nice colour combinations, because I haven't played with them yet...
I'll pick up this thread when I get going...

"putting together" is half the fun -- this looks so tempting!

Yay...really tempting...I'll be itching to start xstitching this since you have all of the stuff prepared!
I will also start a new project for the New Year....I have chosen the pattern but am controlling myself from preparing the stuff needed as I would probably end up starting it earlier!
Take care, Fljotsdale!

Heh! Yeah, it IS tempting! But I'm determined to finish my Storyteller first.
One nice thing about the new dragon is that there are no fractionals or blending

though I may find I do some of both - especially blending, to get the smooth transitions in some parts of the design.

This will be a lovely project - those colours will look great on black. My OH loves dragons so better watch out he doesn't come begging for it when you've finished

The dragon looks like it's going to be fun to do and those colors look like they are going to look great on the black.

You are very organised!!
The colours you are using will look brilliant on the black material, it's a lovely design.

Mr XStitch made the chart for me, from the pic on the book cover (a photocopy I took years ago meaning to make a chart myself, but found it too overwhelming - I had and have NO comp programme, and no scanner, so was planning on doing it by hand...

Which is why it stayed in the bottom of a chest for the last 15 years or so).

Don't worry, FD, after I finished the dreamcatcher my next project for doing at work is going to be a dragon all of his own..... to go with the one I already stitched him for Christmas last year! He's mad on them.
