Lauramac's WIP--a worry

Post by lauramac »

I had to load the pic into my gallery because for some reason photobucket will not let me reset my password which either I forgot or it didn't recognize it.
Anyway, this is a small updated picture. I really have messed up..maybe. I mis-counted when I was doing that lighter pink thread. Now the blossom is hit or miss with me guessing where to put colors. I am hoping it will all work out in the end. Somehow I am going to have to get it toether by the time I get down to the vase.
Learning to graph is on my agenda!

Hi Laura, have you actually contacted photobucket? I'm asking because I lost my password on my account and they asked a few questions to make sure it was me and then I was able to reset it.

Restart working from a point you know is correct - the edge of a leaf, maybe? - and work back to the place where it's wrong. This way, if you don't feel you can bear to unpick, you will at least see exactly what went wrong and be able to work around it so it doesn't show to anyone who doesn't know what it SHOULD look like! You may even find that you are only out by a few stitches, but in any case, by coming at the mistake from another direction, you will have the confidence to adapt the design. I do it all the time!

The project is wonderful. It is sad to hear that you are having a problem with your colors. I hope that you can get it sorted out soon and that you will be able to make it work without :ribbit: . I looked in the gallery and your finished projects are wonderful it is a great to see all of the different things you have made.

Threadbear, I have sent the request several times to reset the password. I turned off my junk filter and still have not heard from them. Guess I can call them?

Fljotsdale,
thanks. But I am here to tell you, I have made major blunders. If I had to unpick I think I would cry. Where I messed up is that pale pink that edges the petals, so it is throwing off the darker pinks. I keep telling myself that the designers could have designed it the way I'm having to do it anyway. I hope to finish the blossom this weekend. Thanks again!

Oh that's annoying for you Laura. :( I heard back fairly quickly but maybe with me being in the UK my request would go to a different place?
Hope you can get it sorted though.

I'm sure your blossom will turn out lovely!

Thanks you all. And thanks Rose. I have a couple at my sis's that I want to post. My daughter has several as does my sister in California.
