Midge's Phoenix SAL - Finished

I have decided to do the phoenix from this months issue of CrossSticher Mag. Issue 210.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a pic of the finished item from the mag but if you have it, you will know the one I mean. I'm just sorting out threads and fabric and will show you those when they are selected and ready to go.
We are off to Cornwall (mad fools) next weekend and I intend to take it and start it whilst we are there.

Midge, there's no problem showing us the finished photo - just don't include the chart at all. Bet you're glad you're not in Cornwall this weekend

Oh yes, please show the photo as I don't get magazines, so I'd love to see what you're going to stitch.

Here is the pic of the phoenix.
I can't start as I'm missing a coup;le of threads so I'll get those when I'm in town on Thursday and by then the cats should be finished so I'll be guilt-free at starting another project.

Midge I love that pic and am thinking of doing it too - just not just yet, I'm trying to get myself a bit organised before I start any other projects. I will love watching yours grow though!

Very colourful!
Are you both sticking to the colours in the pattern or substituting any with your own ideas?

Here is my stash for this project. I'm just missing a couple of threads which I'll pick up this week.
I am using 28ct ivory linen but it shows up quite dark on this photo.
