no..it's not my dad..or anyone's health

oh and those that are on facebook, don't comment about it there..hubby's family is on there..

he may be getting laid off..
he's the only one bringing money in..
we have a $1800 a month rent plus utilites..car is paid off thank goodness..
but mainly our rent and utilities worries me.
I know he has the skills and experience to find something..but w/ the economy right now..will be hard.
we will have about 3 months worth of bill money in the savings bank..but that will go fast.

I'm going to have to back out of all exchanges...i do have the bingo prize..
but trying to save money..and having to mail things off..i just couldn't do.

i may even have to go back to work, finding a babysitter..etc.

but anyway..that's why i may be not as often or able to join in any exchanges.



oh and i may even be putting a BUNCH of stuff on ebay..movies,books,stash,etc.

Oh! I am so sorry. My mother was layed off at the end of February. We were living on her pension of less than $1200 until she got a hob mid-April. That is not easy when you are a single mother with two teenage children.

I am sure things will work out one way or another. Lots of luck and good wishes your way.

I'm so sorry to hear this, CF, I hope it will all work out and either he keeps the job or gets a new one quickly. Things are dire in this country too regarding jobs - I think it's affecting most of the world. I know how worried you must be, so my thoughts are with you and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that it'll all be ok.

yeah he just heard rumblings...so nothing yet..but not knowing is killing us..

so last night we sat down and made our attack plan.
i'm greatful that our relationship is very strong..we have faced many many hardships and i'm sure more to come..and we've came through..we are very strong together so I know we'll be ok....

thanks everyone..the biggest thing that upsets me about this is..we JUST moved here, got settled, fell in love with the area..etc.
we are paying more in rent than we would for a mortgage right now..so we are looking to buy something once we have the job thing settled.

we have 3 1/2 mo left of our lease.....hopefully,if we play our cards right..it will all work out.

Having a strong relationship is very helpful when facing difficulties.

C_F, My heart goes out to you I know how hard this is. Where I work there were layoffs in april and no job was safe including mine. I will be saying a prayer for your family and I hope everything works out.

Well I hope that all is just rumor and suspicion and that hubbys keeps his job. This is a hard time for so many.

at the same time, look to buy a house/townhouse that is cheaper than our rent
and
he will look for another, more stable job.
He, no doubt, won't make as much.

If he does get laid off, he'll go right away for unemployment and I'll get to work looking for something to suppliment his unemployment wages..
i have an aunt that is close and can watch my son for a few hours..my daughter is almost 13 so easy for her to watch him for a few hours till either I or my hubby get home.

we have a plan..and we aren't lazy..just depends on what's out there.

doesn't it stink to be good people, working hard, happy and loving life..then WHAM!
someone comes and bursts your bubble.

not fair..but such is life..and it goes on..

thank goodness for you all...really..have been there through some very tough times I've had as of late..
and your words have helped..greatly. I just wish I could fly and meet and hug every one of you!! lol

i can organize..and as long as no one minds..i can do one..as long as my partner is in the states..won't be much to ship...so I can still do this one..and organize..same w/ the frienship one..

as long as everyone keeps in mine that are organzing..that my partner is in the states..save $$ for me to ship..
