i am about 45% through renoir vase of roses xs-collectibles piece only to realize that the piece is "drifting" to the left. i have the piece on a scroll bar. i have always done standard stitching but this time decided to try just the first part of the cross. i am working on 25ct aida so the coverage is fine but as i'm reading your forum, i'm guessing the half cross is the culprit.

since this is my third attempt (first one eaten by a dog, second one i thought i no longer had the first three pages of the design) I still plan to complete it.

will i (or a framer) be able to straighten it out? i figure if all else fails, i can just have it framed with a mat covering part of the stitching and creating a "square" viewing frame.

thanks, april

Can I suggest that you put a photo of your piece on here so that people can have a better idea of what the problem looks like.

I think that maybe this is caused by the half stitches and that is why those that do these larger patterns prefer to use the tent stitch method. We have a few members that are using the tent stitch method that will be able to explain and I know there was a web address that explained it pretty well. I have always done full stitches so i am not a good source of info.
