HAED QS Rae update 7th May (FULL ROW COMPLETE)

Post by mel876 »

Okay so I promised a pic of my latest work, here it is. I took a plunge and decided I loved this HAED so much taht I just had to start it, plus I wasn't happy with the coverage on my doggie kit so I put that aside for a while.

I'm doing this one on 14 ct, I'm thinking of giving this to one of the two housemates who are getting married in next 6 months.

anyways here it is, been working on it for about a month or so, I have done part of the sun's rays but they don't show up very well, I'm currently waiting for my local store to to get in the other colours I need for the rest of the first page.

Pretty!! These designs are so colourful, and like you I would most likely do the black outlines first then fill in the colours :D
I love seeing more and more HAEDs coming along in the forum!!!

yep I'll admit I'm a totally cross country stitcher and haven't tried gridding yet, I figure that once I have a decent outline everything else will follow pretty easily. I had a huge stitchy day today and managed to get all of the black outline done on page 2 and have started filling in some of the hair.

yeah I know it is pretty big, but I have to smaller counts due to my vision. I like doing it larger anyway, its not making a difference to the detail and it is almost exactly same size as couple of larger prints of mermaids she has, so will fit in well.
