French poster - SAL *Finished*

Post by Dave »

I'm off again, doing the French poster that was in a recent Xstitcher mag. It's the one where there's a lass leaning on her bike with the eiffel tower in the background. It's on 14 count, but done in 3 strands. I'll have a pic later of progress so far! :wip:

They'll be talking about how fab your stitching is I should think! I'm in til 7pm myself, I work in a call centre and just stabbed myself with a very sharp embroidery needle while on a call, right under the nail!

I've seen the chart you mean and I can't wait to see your progress!

Ah I see where you're coming from! I got grief when I first started stitching in work so I don't blame you, and it a female dominated environment! Thankfully there's a few knitters that have come out of the wood work now so I'm not alone. Although if one more person asks me how my crochet is going I'll be forced to use my needles as a weapon...

You don't want to lose your 'street cred' (or whatever the kids are calling it these days) with the boys... ;)

Alright..this is just downright unfair that you get to stitch while at work!!!!! I can get away with chatting on here at work but would probably be in a heap of trouble if I whipped out my cross stitch while working! :ratherbe:

I am joining the rest of the gang on the magic bench!!! :coffee: :cake:

I have taken up stitching in my lunchbreak again just little pieces that I can keep in my drawer even over the weekend. Although I'm not allowed internet access at the moment and when it is granted I still won't be allowed on here unless it is in my lunchbreak but I don't spend my break at my desk as I sit waiting for people to come in the door and see me. I long for a job where I can sit and stitch at the sametime but alas none will pay me enough to pay the bills!

I like the sound of this one Dave can't wait to see progress!

Sorry this has taken so long ladies and gents, but I've had a busy weekend. birthday celebrations got in the way and at my age it takes a couple of days now to shake off a hangover!! Took this the other day and done a little more since. It's a pain in the bum as there's so many colour changes!!

Image

Also been busy as I've been recording some of my songs. Go and have a listen here http://www.myspace.com/davesleneymusic Let me know what you think!
