I just bought a little kit from Home Bragains (£1.99, really was a bargain!) to make my own paper.
The frame it comes with is only small, so it makes pieces just big enough for cards and gift tags and such like. Am going to get my dad to make me a bigger frame though so I can make whole cards and letter paper myself.
It's so much fun, and a great way to use up scrap paper.

Re: Paper making
i've made paper. We use a shredder for shredding bills and such and I just cut the strips in small pieces and put them in a blender, with a bit of water and made a mush.
added that into a pan of water, a few drops of food coloring and swished it around real good.
I made a frame using an 8x10 picture frame..just the frame part, I stapled purchased screen from the hardware store.
turned out really nice!

Re: Paper making
Just as CF described!
1. Rip some scrap paper, put in a blender with water and mash up. (Adding glitter is fun!)
2. Pour into a frame with mesh (which is sitting in a bit of water) and spread the pulp out evenly.
3. Let the excess water drain off, remove frame from water, carefully remove soggy paper and use a sponge and blotting paper to soak up the excess water.
4. Leave out to dry!
That's it in a nutshell. Sure you can find a better explanation online!
You can also add pressed flowers and such.
