Hi all.

I thought I would start my SAL topic today even though my first HAED project, I'm not recieving until xmas day. I couldnt wait any longer to start my SAL and thought I would introduce my project and what I shall be stitching on etc.

So here she is, I love this little angel and she even inspired my forum name hehe.

Phew my pic worked ;)

So, I'm stitching her on 20 count bellana fabric but chose a lovely white with silver flecks in it, almost opalescent I suppose. I know the fabric will be covered by the design totally, but couldn't resist some special fabric (it is xmas after all!) I've gone with 20 count for my first HAED I may try 25 count soon though for another one. I am stitching her 2x1 full crosses, and now I just can't wait to start her!

She's beautiful! I've been eyeing a few of those designs myself and have one (a bookkeep) that I plan to start some time in 2010. I'll enjoy watching your progress with this one. :)

@rotfl: Aren't we silly with our stitching even though we don't have the pattern or the fabric or the floss we just can wait to get going. I love that you are so excited for your new HAED. She is very cute and it will be fun to see her develope. :applesauce:

Nice to hear from you all!

Hehehe, Rose, I completely know what you mean. I am really excited, and I think because I have to wait for a bit, it makes it even more fun!

The colours in the floss should be a gorgeous palette, I love pinks and purples with creamy shades. I know how HAED state in their website that she is a quick stitch, but on 20 count she should be about 10x12 inches. The stitch count is 195x247. Not really a quick stitch in my book, must mean that the full size designs are a lifetime's work!

She should keep me busy for a few months at least :)

Lovely colors and so nice that you decided to share even before you could get going. We love pictures and hearing about what you are working on, what you will be working on, and what you have worked on in the past.

If my math is correct - your design is less than 50,000 stitches - not sure what the QS guidelines are - but in terms of HAED designs that does seem to be less than the other designs. That is still a lot of stitches to me.

Good luck with the start....maybe you'll even get to start a little early.

She's really pretty! And the anticipation of starting a new project is almost as much fun as actually starting it sometimes!

Yeah, sure will :)

I am so impatient with waiting now...I really want to start her. I got my chart so I could print it out and get the floss list and the chart looks really great. I can't wait to see how she stitches up. I shall probably be stitching away on xmas day at this rate :)

Oh no, just found out the order for the floss wasn't processed correctly and I wont be getting my floss for xmas day after all! Hate Paypal, the checkout didnt fully process the payment aarrggh.

Oh well, I shall just have to wait a little longer to start her, she'll be worth it in the end lol.

Oh, sorry to hear about your problem with Paypal (it's meant to be easier than paying by credit card...??!!) At least you've got Queen of Hearts to work on!

And I love this one's dress! :applesauce: Will be good to see how she stitches up, eventually!
