I'm new here but thought I would post what I am working on.
This is the design (mirabilia - venetian opulence):
I started this is Sept and it will probably be a very long time until i finish it. I have a tendency to cross stitch obsessively for 7 or 8 days and then put it away for months. I'm pretty happy with how its coming along. I'm stitching it 'over one' on 32 count linen. THe second photo has the quarter for scale.
Over one prevents me from using the beads shown in the chart- so instead I use the conversion to DMC and just stitch them as regular stitches. Not as fancy perhaps but I like the look.
Thanks for looking.

Looks really opulent.
Keep at it, I will be watching with interest.
2022 is yet another year of the UFO!!
Great Wall of China,
Peacocks and Pheasants,
Birds of a feather,
Hardanger Table runner,
TW Peacock Tapestry,
Milennium Sampler,
Yes, they are all STILL in progress!
Gorgeous colours, this must be lovely to work with. Not sure if you would be interested, but I'm sure we had a discussion on here before about adding beads when you are stitching over 1. I've got a feeling the tiny Mill Hill beads could be used?? But to be honest it is lovely as it is

Susan- I tried the smallest mill hill beads i could find and they still seemed to big. Perhaps they make smaller ones? The owner of the cross stitch store here didnt think they did. I considered buying equivalent colors fro ma bead store- but in the end just went with stitching. Same as I did on spring queen. I concede the projects do stand out more with beadwork but I like working tiny!
