I've been sorting out my WIP's and have found a little vintage christmassy one that I had sellotaped around the edges to stop from fraying. Of course the tape has fallen off but I'm left with a horrible residue?
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

In the US we have a product called Goof Off and I know it takes off this type of residue from glass and plastics but I have never used it on fabric.

Yes I've got some sticky stuff remover but it's not actually sticky just sort of stained. IYKWIM
