Bet you're all wondering about the title. You will never guess what I found in my cupboard! A Mystic Stitch chart!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't even remember buying it, but obviously I must have because no one else would have bought it for me. I certainly didn't buy it since I have been a member of this forum (about 18 months). So much upheaval and excitement and stress has gone on in my life since I moved to my flat (2006) that I just can't remember it.

Anyway..... ta daaaaaa!

I can see WHY I bought this - he's stunning and I love Native American things - I just don't remember doing it!

Gosh, when am I ever going to find time to stitch it! :thinks: Maybe I can work it into my rotation somehow later in the year - or use it as a replacement for the Mermaid which will only take 5 sessions in my rotation to finish. How exciting! A wonderful chart I never even knew I had!!!! If stitched on 14 count (I think I would choose 28 count evenweave) it measures 10 x 14 inches so it's not gigantic like a HAED. It's got about 70 colours in it though. The rate I'm going, I'll end up with so many things on the go my I will take about 2 months to do a single rotation of everything!

Wow what a find! How exciting!! :applesauce: Maybe I should look through my folders and boxes, there might be something I've totally forgotten about there too!!
Will look forward to seeing how this stitches up; I've just done a full round of my rotations and that was just over a month & a half!

Louise, I think my rotation round will be at LEAST a month and a half, hahaha! Bubble is first and a page of that takes about 8 days. Then Floatilla - another week (larger areas of colour :D ). Then Pescatus - about 10 days. Then Mermaid - I do 1 and 3/4 pages of this so I get a whole row done each time, so about 2 weeks for that one. Then a page of the Fractal - about another 8 days. What are we up to? About 45 days I think. So if I add this lovely Indian and also Tree of Life which I got for Christmas, we're upto 2 months. So I might actually finish something by my 40th birthday if I'm lucky (I'm 38). @rotfl:

Well.. :thinks: if you bought the chart before 2006 then it mostly definitely qualifies as a UFO, so you could stitch it during UFO week!

(i love my logic!)

Wow, what a great idea! I might have to do that - although it won't be February UFO week as I don't have fabric for it yet.

What a lovely find :D

Could it become your morning stitch since you say it's not as big as your other pieces? I bet it won't take you long anyway whatever place you allot it in your stitching timetable.

Lessa, I think having it for a morning project would probably be a good idea. I'm thinking that after all, I might not do UFO week for a while now as I don't really have any on the go that can be classed as UFOs and I don't want to interrupt my rotation to do it.

I'm working on Mabel's Stash-a-holic sampler in the mornings at the moment and after that's done I will be doing the Easter Egg swap. Then I will see if I can run to a piece of fabric for the Indian. The design has about 28,000 stitches in it so it's roughly the size of the Predator project I did a year ago. Tiny compared to a HAED!

I think I will make some effort to list a few things on ebay at the weekend too - if I can make some extra cash I can have more fabric sooner! I have a motorbike headlight and clutch to sell which should fetch about £50!!!

WOO HOO! I have sold 2 handbag charms on ebay! The buyers have already paid up so I paid my ebay fees first and had a few pounds spare - so I have ordered a fat quarter of light coffee coloured 28 count evenweave to stitch this on. I didn't think I would be able to get it so soon. It means that when I have finished Mabel's sampler and the Easter Egg swap I will be able to start this in the mornings!
