I thought I'd post my Tatty Ted here too show you how far along I am, and too then get some kicks up the backside to actually complete him

The sampler was started in July and all the x-stitches and half stitches were finshed in August, some of the back stitching is done but I haven't touched it since October and i really want/need/should complete it. It's for myself and hubby so luckily no one else is impatiently waiting to receive it (maybe that's the problem I it was for someone else I might have more incentive )

Anyways, without further ado....

This is gorgeous and I do admire you for doing it. I have always shied off tatty ted because of the backstitching. Good luck!

Good Job I love this one and have been tempted to do it for myself!! I love Tatty Teddy and collect the figurines!! you must finish it!! I've stitched some Tatty Teddys and to be honest I did one and followed the backstitch on the chart and it took forever, then when I did another I 'made up' the backstitch around the edge of Tatty Teddy and it was so much quicker and easier and you would have never known which one was which?!?

Thanks for all the lovely comments, it's really given me the strenght to carry on with Ted. I'm gonna sit down and do some this weekend and update you on how it goes.
Think I'll do as suggested and do the furry backstitch 'freestyle' as it were
