Next up - Fairy & The Velveteen Rabbit by Judy Mastrangelo :

This one as far as I can make out comes from a story about a toy rabbit who was left behind when his family moved house! He cried a real tear, so the fairy was able to turn him into a real rabbit so he could live with the ones he'd seen in the field out of the window...

This one is on 25ct - I have 3 on 25ct and 3 on 28ct so my eyes get a bit of a break!

The stitched version seems to have a lot more 'contrast' than the HAED artwork, but on the website I actually bought it from it looks a bit different - here (scroll down a bit) - and I think I prefer it this way

When I emailed HAED for the floss usage list they said although people had requested that list before, they've never seen a WIP of this one... I wonder if I'm the first to stitch this??!!

Ooh, I like this one! The story always made me cry as a kid.

I have a stuffed toy rabbit that is as old as me. It used to be by my side wherever we went. When we used to stay with my Granny in the country she used to sneek out when I was asleep and play with all the bunnies on the South Downs!!!!
So I love this story and picture.
