Could you pls post a photo of a tent stitch? I'm stitching my first HAED and use a simple half cross stitch. Is there any difference between a half cross stitch and a tent stitch on the front and back of the work?.. Thanks! And sorry for my English

This is tent stitch. It works from right to left on your canvas and the thread covers the back of the canvas, giving it extra strength.

This is so helpful! I'd been wondering what the difference was between a tent stitch and a half cross stitch, too.

Ok, I'm still confused. Isn't that the same thing as a half cross stitch if you are working over 1? It looks like it to me. :thinks:

I think it looks the same as a half cross stitch on the front, but looks different on the back.
Not sure though, but thats what I think. :)

Yes a tent stitch is the same as a half stitch on front but the way you carry it on the back is what makes the difference.
